TBM "Günther" at the finish line

At BBT Nord - after 16'627 m and 1'389 days of hard work - the TBM "Günther" at the finish line!

Great party today at BBT Nord near Innsbruck. The 8.15 m diameter TBM - which had already achieved a "world" daily progress record 3 years ago - reached its goal at the border of the H51 construction lot.

The excellent team of ATI Strabag/Salini Impregilo (site manager C. Kaiser) supported by ÖBA PINI & PARTNER (E. Leitner), has overcome during these years difficult moments with very unfavorable geological situations and a new contractual framework that allowed an extension of the activities initially planned.
