Pini Swiss: 100 years of history on the summit of Monte Generoso

Setting the scenery of the picturesque natural park of Monte Generoso, Pini Swiss ran the first test operation in connection with the restoration of the historic rack railway line. The 1890 built train climbs over a distance of 9 km up to a height of 1704 meters.

We support our client in financial and project management as well as in the overall site management.

The project includes the renewal of the railway embankment, the laying of new tracks, the reconstruction of the platforms and other essential work to bring passenger safety and comfort up to current standards and to ensure the continuity of this exceptionally beautiful railway line.
