At the end of April, work began on Mario Botta’s La nuova Valascia, seating 7,000 people.

A modern multi-purpose venue open all year round will be built on the site of the old Ambrì airfield. The total cost is estimated at CHF 50 million. Pini Swiss Lugano is responsible for technical and financial project controlling. The rink is due to open in summer 2021.
