On March 1, 2021, the preliminary work for replacing the cantonal road 381 has started. The tight and ambitious construction schedule at the Nidfuren and Schmittli junctions makes it possible to reopen the new road to traffic from January 2022 - after 1.5 years of full closure - with the new Brügglitobel bridge as its centerpiece and more than 15 new supporting structures. At the Nidfuren junction, the first pile of 246 m long embankment protection was installed at the beginning of April. At the Schmittli intersection, construction of the new retaining wall Schmittli 2 is underway, and the existing retaining wall Wolfbach and the Schmittli bridge under traffic are also being repaired.
The Pini Swiss team is responsible for the overall project and construction management.
