The most Outstanding Infrastructure Project of the Year 2021

The Israeli Association of Construction and Infrastructure Engineers awarded the Enlargement of the Road 60 Short Tunnel as the most Outstanding Infrastructure Project of the Year 2021.

PINI Group has been awarded with our local partner, Grouchko Structural Engineers, for the whole design from preliminary to construction.

The goal of the project is to ease the traffic at the southern entrance of Jerusalem, by means of constructing a new 250-meter-long tunnel and refurbishing and enlarging an existing tunnel for the first time in Israel. The new tunnel is already built and active, and currently the refurbishment and enlarging works of the existing tunnel are being completed. The project is foreseen to be complete in the coming 6 months.

The award was announced at the annual conference for Construction and Infrastructure.
