Excavation works at CERN HiLumi LHC P5 in Cessy (France) completed

After 27 months since the beginning of the High Luminosity project civil works in the P5 experimental site, the last few cubic meters of rock have been removed from the invert of the US57 Cryogenic Cavern. At the same time, the first Taking Over milestone has been achieved, with the delivery to CERN of the Section 1 related civil works (UPR57/UA57 Junction Galleries). The installation of the first equipment is now ready to start.

PINI Group, involved in this amazing project since the preliminary design stage, is proud to be part of this achievement with its Construction Management Team.
